In 1937, the New York, New Haven & Hartford built 75 flat cars at the road’s Readville, Massachusetts shops. Bethlehem Steel furnished welded underframes to the New Haven for this group of cars. The cars were 50′ over the striker plates, had 15 unevenly spaced stake pockets per side and were rated at 70 tons. They were the first general service flat cars added to the road’s fleet since the first decade of the century.
These kits include “one-piece” sides-ends-underframe castings plus resin, styrene, metal, and wire details as well as accurate decals and instructions with prototype data and many photos. HO scale. $42.00
