By the end of the weekend, the decks will be clear and all outstanding orders will be shipped or packed to ship at the beginning of the week. Big exhale. I have also been casting the new project and am ready to start shipping the first of those. This is the first full kit cast by me. Many years ago, when I thought I was going to model the Great Northern, Sunshine released kits for the plywood cars built in the 40s. I wanted to add a level of accuracy so Martin sent me a side and I tortuously used my milling machine’s XY table and a needle in the Chuck to emboss simulated nail holes in the surface. Martin released this as a “distressed” kit and I was the beneficiary of lots of sets of these sides. Now that I no longer need that many they are excess and can be yours… $20 per set. I don’t know for certain but I would guess they can be used to replace the sides on the Intermountain kits, too. Details via this link
