Many years ago, when I thought I was going to model the Great Northern, Sunshine released kits for the plywood cars built in the 40s. I wanted to add a level of accuracy so Martin sent me a side and I tortuously used my milling machine’s XY table and a needle in the chuck to emboss simulated nail holes in the surface. Martin released this as a “distressed” kit and I was the beneficiary of lots of sets of these sides. Now that I no longer need that many they are excess and can be yours… $20 per set. I don’t know for certain but I would guess they can be used to replace the sides on the Intermountain kits, too.
