Description

The Pennsy received 1,500 welded box cars in 1950-1951 from American Car & Foundry. They were based upon the AAR design, but featured welded sides and underframes. They rode on the unusual National C-1 trucks and were also unusual for their black roofs, an oddity in the Pennsy fleet.

These kits include:

• one-piece cast resin bodies
• resin, styrene, wire, and etched metal details
• Kadee couplers
• Etched Apex Tri-Lok running boards
• the most scale-sized draft gear (“coupler pockets”) on the market
• Plate C National C-1 trucks with semiscale wheelsets
• accurate decals
