This year’s Prototype Rails in Cocoa Beach, Florida coincided with a launch at Cape Canaveral. SpaceX Dragon rocket launched at 4:47 AM EST on January 10, 2015 to resupply the International Space Station.

We are very happy to announce that the Erie 70000-series rebuilt box car kits, which had a very limited first release a few years ago, are finally back in production and are available. Thanks for your patience. More of the old stuff is coming on line soon. Stay tuned!

I have three of the previously offered M-K-T single sheathed box car kits available – link here. They are for the version with the National doors and Pressed Steel roof. Caveat: I only have the white decals for a box car red car (pre-1938 and 1948 and later repaints). Photo above shows the car offered, but finished with the black lettering. I am reprinting the decals for the black lettering on chrome yellow cars and will gladly mail you a set once they are complete if you purchase a kit and want that lettering – just let me know!)

These are the only three available currently and I do not have an estimated date on a restock.

There are two more HO Scale decal sets that are available. They are:

When I created the pages for the decals for D132 (New Haven 58000-series gondolas) and D133 (Erie 20000-series Greenville covered hoppers), I somehow neglected to make the ordering for them live. That is fixed and they may be ordered. Apologies!

We have added the Soo ‘Sawtooth’ box cars and Baltimore & Ohio M-26D/E Duryea underframe parts to inventory (after a long hiatus). More new things coming soon, as well.

We have a new book, Freight Cars in Context, Volume One, that is now available.

We are reprinting the following decals and expect them in mid-September. At that point, we will almost be fully stocked on the entire line and we are also at work on some new subjects, as well. Here are the reprints:
