Description

The parts will allow the modeler to replicate a PFE R-30-9 plywood sheathed reefer to be kitbashed from an HO scale Red Caboose kit. The prototypes were rebuilt in the period from about 1948-1949. There are 36 sets of parts to be provided “free-of-charge” ($0.01 is a “dummy” cost in order to trigger the $4.50 shipment fee, which you are responsible for paying.) Simply add to cart and checkout.

• Paypal is the only way to secure these parts in this offer. Please don’t request that I “set aside” parts and that you send a check or money order.
• There are 36 parts sets in this giveaway.
• Please do not email asking if more are available; if the inventory shows as zero, then they are all spoken for. (you are still welcome and encouraged to register for the event, though, at this link)
• If you do successfully obtain 1 of the 36 you can also assume you are registered for the Hindsight 20/20 6.0 and you do not need to register separately.
• Only one set per person. If I see more than one set going to the same address or I suspect that you are trying to “game” the system to get an additional set(s), you will forfeit all of your sets. Please be respectful of others.
• This is not an entire kit; it is only the sides and lettering. You are responsible for procuring the necessary kit and other recommended details and materials.
• The parts will be mailed approximately the same date as the event
• These parts will be available in future from National Scale Car (Ryan Mendell)

The calendar invite with the zoom link will be emailed directly to you a couple days prior to the event, usually on the Thursday before. This event is free of charge. However, you must add this to your shopping cart and complete checkout to be registered and receive the zoom details. Please do not email requesting that I manually add you to the event. It is difficult enough keeping track of all of the associated details. Add to the cart and checkout… simple!
