Why do you need this part? It allows you to model the PFE R-40-25 refrigerator car using an Intermountain R-40-23 kit, of which there are many more undecorated kits on the secondhand market
These photos illustrate the process for adding the resin roof
- Using a saw, make two cuts approach. 0.060″ down into the top of the subend right where the inside corners meet
- Add 0.060″ styrene to act as a “stop” for a ruler
- Butt the ruler against the styrene and score between the two saw cuts using a hobby knife
- Bend and snap along the score line to remove the material
- Voila! Add the roof
