Description

Many years ago, Terry Wegmann offered customized HO scale Red Caboose R-30-9 rebuild kits that included the parts necessary (Murphy rectangular panel roof with Equipco hatch covers) and correctly shaped crossbearers to model the PFE’s R-30-16 class of rebuilds, a large group of 3,554 cars. I am offering a limited number of these undec kits plus decals of my own artwork in the following schemes:

• ‘1942’ – includes correct UP medallion for the 1942-1946 scheme plus all stenciling correct for that era (cars ran with the scheme past 1946, until repainted)
• ‘1946’ – includes correct UP medallion for the 1946-1950 scheme plus all stenciling correct for that era (cars ran with the scheme past 1950, until repainted). I built the model shown above years ago and lettered it using a Microscale set. It is lettered in an iteration of the ‘1946’ scheme.
• ‘1950’ –  includes correct UP medallions )two extremely similar black & white medallions) for the 1950+ scheme plus all stenciling correct for cars repainted ca. 1950-1952 (cars ran with the scheme past 1952, until repainted)
